Natural Chemistry’s Pool Perfect & PhosFree
A Simple Way To Remove Phosphates!
Natural Chemistry PhosFree is one of the most effective ways to remove phosphates in your water. Phosphates are the building block for algae growth.
Phosphates can enter your pool in a few ways. The most common way is from leaves and organic debris making their way into the water from the surrounding yard. Another way, although less common, is from fertilizers or lawn care chemicals entering the pool. Why is this bad? A high phosphate count can create algae problems in your pool as algae feeds on phosphates found in warm water. Although phosphates are non-toxic, nobody wants algae in their pool. Therefore, maintaining proper chlorine levels, regularly using algaecide, and occasionally shocking your pool are effective ways of sanitizing your pool and keeping those phosphates at bay.
Reducing phosphate levels in pools is easy with Natural Chemistry’s patented Phosfree technology. Phosfree is formulated from lanthanum (rare earth) compounds. When added to the skimmer, a thin coating of Phosfree forms on the filter media. As pool water flows through the filter, phosphates are reduced to a very low level.
For DE & Cartridge Filters: Do not add more than 1.5L (48oz) at a time. If more than 1.5L (48oz) is needed to treat, be sure to clean or backwash the filter between treatments. If DE filter pressure rises to 10 psi above start-up pressure, turn pump off for 1 minute and then turn it back on. If pressure remains high, backwash or rinse for 30 seconds. Algae must be treated prior to testing and lowering phosphates. Chlorine must be under 5ppm before testing phosphates.
Please read all labels before adding any chemical to your pool. Follow all safety instructions and consult a pool professional if you have any questions.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
- Make sure pool water is properly balanced
- Clean or backwash filter
- Determine appropriate dose (See guidelines below)
- Shake bottle well prior to application. While circulation pump is running, add dose to skimmer
- Run filter for 48 hrs continuously without backwashing or cleaning
- After 48 hrs of filtering, clean/backwash filter
- Re-test phosphate levels. If necessary, repeat steps 1-5
DOSAGE GUIDELINES:
If your current Phospate level is:
- 300 ppb or less > Add 0.5L or 16oz
- 600 ppb > Add 1L or 32oz
- 900 ppb > Add 1.5L or 48oz
